They know that, and they don't want you to know This. If you seek the Pearl you're in danger of being burned with the Fire, finding yourself out of death and in Life. It would seriously compromise their chances of burning you with their fire, of inserting their strange energy in your soul and body, though they never give up. They'd still use those under their control to offer the evil you know you should keep yourself innocent of. But when you have known Good, you're much stronger to resist the temptation than those who are not even searching.
